Partner Center upload

Serial + Windows Product ID, no hardware hash. Goes into Customer → Devices → Add devices. One combined file for all divisions.

Intune group tags

Group tag for devices already registered, carried alongside the Partner Center columns (blank where not applicable). One combined file, or split into one file per Division Tag for individual delivery. These drive the group-tag script — don't upload them to Partner Center.

How the two files are used, and what this build does not do

Partner Center registers each device for Autopilot against the customer tenant via your GDAP relationship. Columns are fixed by Microsoft: Device Serial Number, Windows Product ID, Hardware Hash, Manufacturer name, Device model. Hash is left blank by design; if Manufacturer/Model aren't mapped they upload blank.
Intune rejects that same file with 806 ZtdDeviceAlreadyAssigned once a device is registered — import only creates, never updates. Group tag is set through Graph updateDeviceProperties; the bundled script does this per row.
User assignment is not performed. This sheet carries end-user display names, not UPNs, and Graph assignUserToDevice needs a UPN. Assignment must be done separately once UPNs are known.
Run the script as an Intune Administrator in the customer tenant (your GDAP path): .\Apply-GroupTags.ps1 -CsvPath .\intune-grouptags.csv -TenantId <customer>. It accepts the combined file or any single split file.

Device Uploader · transforms run locally in your browser; nothing is stored or transmitted. Confirm Manufacturer and Device model match the OEM exactly — Partner Center is case-sensitive on them.
